Jennifer’s enthusiasm and passion for her work, combined with her commitment to understanding and satisfying the needs of her clients, are her company’s defining ethos.
HOW: JSM’s casting process involves extensive research and leveraging of its vast database of contacts, enabling them to tap into often-overlooked pools of talent. With a diverse background, casting for commercials, print and runway, Jennifer has procured relationships with a wide array of model and talent agencies, which combined with her unique eye and aesthetic, enables her to deliver a casting tailor-made for each individual client.
After landing much sought-after internships with Mirabella Magazine and Michael Kors, Jennifer graduated college with a dream job at Glamour Magazine in the early 90′s. From there she went on to work at TSE, where under the tutelage of renowned designer, Narciso Rodriguez, she honed her production and casting skills on photo shoots and runway shows. After a foray into the world of commercial production at the now legendary Propaganda Films, Jennifer became the Talent Director at Calvin Klein, where during her tenure, she oversaw casting for all divisions and licensees, including runway shows in New York and Milan. In 2000, just as the digital frontier was taking shape, Jennifer was instrumental in forging a joint venture between Art + Commerce and Shoot Digital. During that time she managed all print production and casting for their digital photography projects, including all photo content for LVMH’s luxury online retailer, eLuxury. In 2002, Jennifer joined forces with the owners of Milk Studios to found House, which soon established itself as one of NYC’s premier casting companies for commercials, print and runway. Finally striking out on her own, Jennifer gave birth to JSM Casting in 2008, shortly after giving birth to her second daughter.
